Red leaves falling - UPDATE September 30, 2014

The last of the warblers are migrating through—mainly Yellow-rumped Warblers. The photo is of a juvenile, easily identified by the yellow rump partially shown.

Primarily yellows and orangesPrimarily yellow and green - 9/28/14The biologist who is helping us with the Northwoods Ecology Hall cat exhibits (mountain lion, lynx, and bobcat) stopped by. Among other things, he showed us a skull from a rare lynx-bobcat hybrid. We didn’t know they ever hybridized.
