Birthday Eve Bear Day!

I was surprised to see so many birthday wishes coming in early—but then I realized… it’s already my birthday in England!
I celebrated my ‘Birthday Eve’ today by going to see Lily and Hope for over an hour with Gordon Buchanan and the BBC film crew. I didn’t think to say “It’s me, bear” soon enough, so Lily was gone when we got to her tree. When I said the right things, she came over the hill and Hope came down from the white pine—the same white pine they’ve been at for a week.
Lily settled in to nurse Hope and we noticed Hope is using all six nipples now. No wonder she’s doing so well! I’m going slow getting to know Hope. I think it’s best that way. She’ll let me know when it’s time. Today she was comfortable enough to nap on the ground just 10 feet from me.
I’ve been reading your comments and glowing. I’m looking forward to my birthday tomorrow!
