Lily and Cubs! - UPDATE July 13, 2026

Lily and cubs

In the words of a local bear-loving couple, I learned of a sighting of Lily. It was their first sighting of Lily this year. They have not yet determined the sexes of the cubs, but one of the dark two stood up at one point and appeared to be a female. They say they hope the unusual brown cub is also a female to see what color cubs she will eventually produce. Lily’s story goes on. They announced the visit with an email that said:

“Good morning Dr. Rogers, we think Lily and cubs visited us very late last night and she stayed in the area for breakfast once the light returned. The cubs were skittish so we gave the family space and stayed inside the cabin so they could have a positive first visit experience.
