On this second anniversary of the passing of unforgettable Ted, it was a somber, overcast day.
Breakfast was on a smaller scale throughout the area with no bear sightings since October 28.
With the sky still black , the first in line for breakfast here was a raccoon. Next was an early-rising red squirrel. As the sky that was beginning to lighten a blue jay came for his share, followed by a hairy woodpecker. With the rising sun hiding behind the clouds of an overcast sky, deer came for grass and other vegetation. I miss the bears, especially so, realizing it will be over five months before I see one again.

On a different note, tomorrow is the first day for early giving to GIVEMN.
Most of you will be receiving an email after midnight, but here is a bit of information from the NABC's e-blast: "This year’s Give to the Max Day campaign funds will be used towards construction of our new Intern Housing Complex located directly across the street from the Bear Center.
