Tasha - UPDATE April 2, 2023
TashaToday at 2:18 PM, Mary Ubl caught Tasha rubbing her face and trying to catch snowflakes. What some bears won’t do! Cool!
Before that, "Taught" also caught Tasha in action:

Pine siskin maleSpeaking of spring, out the window at the WRI, a goldfinch (Spinus tristis) let me see how he was exchanging his tan winter feathers for bright yellow on his body and black on his crown for mating season. And then, his close cousin, the pine siskin (Spinus pinus), gave me the best view I’ve ever gotten of a male in full mating plumage—perhaps the most beautiful pine siskin I’ve ever seen. A good day.
Thank you for all you do,
