Tasha, Bear Pictures - UPDATE August 5, 2017
When bears don’t come out of the forest to the viewing area in their enclosure, we wonder what they are doing.
Tasha A Lily fan captured this bit of video from the secret lives of the ambassador bears a couple days ago when Tasha was eating raspberries

Today, an email popped onto my screen with this treasure trove of pictures of the wild bears we know plus pictures of the ambassador bears. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/452893306268841271.
It was a day of writing. It was also a day of appreciation for the many Lily Fan volunteers who made that possible when we are getting ready for another Black Bear Field Course to begin tomorrow.
In the midst of that, the overdrive portion of the Van’s transmission went out. With nearly 260,000 miles on it, we will push forward. The other gears are plenty for the short distances we drive for the courses. We’ll get it fixed in September. All is well.
The bears are well into hyperphagia. Good old gentle Guy is now among the bears we see. We identify him by a small clump of white hairs on his left cheek. This year that clump was joined by white hairs on other parts of his head and scattered over his body. Signs of age.
Thank you for all you do.
