Ted, Tasha - UPDATE April 1, 2017
I stopped by the Bear Center and had to say Hi to Ted, who posed for two pictures that I couldn’t decide which was best of him.Ted In both, he looks like the big, calm bear that he is. I was taking the pictures through the fence, so Ted wanted to come and say hi back. He saw some green grass on my side of the fence that he wanted, so I picked them for him. He grunted a thank you. Such a nice bear. Always a treat.
LuckyI went up to see if Lucky and Holly were up for a visit. They’re still lethargic. Lucky watched me from the entrance of their bunker den but was comfortable to lie there.
I had no hopes of seeing Tasha. A car drove in, hoping to see the Bear Center, not knowing we were closed. I invited them in for a free preview that turned out to be better than any of us had hoped. Tasha appeared. We all went up on the viewing deck. She seemed skittish—not used to people there. She hadn’t come down to the viewing area very much last year. Romaine lettuce and apples were out in the area for her. She chose an apple and ate it as I snapped pictures from a distance and Lily Fans captured a 10-minute video https://youtu.be/xHi52vR9o8s. It was good to see her.
