With the temperature in the high 30’s°F overnight and throughout the day, most of the ice and snow melted off Woods Lake. I hope Quill is dry and warm enough.Woods lakeWoods lake with ice melted

Den - 10/30/13Den - 10/30/13Mike and Lorie checked a den that Lily, Eli, and Ellie dug in fall 2013 before deciding on the deep rock den. The picture is of that den from October 30, 2013.

Earlier this year, Sean Robison came across that den and said it looked like a bear had enlarged it. He put a trail cam there, and it did catch a bear checking it out.

It got dark before they could check a second den, and they’re tied up for the next week, so more later.

A Lily Fan captured a cute conversation at the Bear Center between Manny the Mannequin and Rocky the squirrel.
