Holly, Lucky and Ted - UPDATE September 25, 2015
Ted resting in his day bedThis morning, Holly was out exploring the big enclosure. The gate to her pen with the den is open so she can do that. Lucky was in her pen as if waiting for her. She showed up and he immediately went to her. But he probably has no intentions of denning with her because he raked two bales of straw into his own bunker den a day or two ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-GQkBRqKDw
I learned from Sharon the Bear Curator that Holly actually began digging her den in late August but made spectacular progress on it a few days ago. We want to get a Den Cam where we can see into it when she settles down enough that it wouldn’t be in her way.
Ted was seen today resting in a day bed near his Chalet Den.
Still on edge here about the possibility of bear hunters. Sightings today in the community included Faith, Bow, Shadow, and their cubs. They are holding tight to the feeding sites, thanks in part to Lily Fans.
Thank you for your food contributions.
Thank you for all you do.
