A Bear on a Quest - UPDATE March 8, 2015

Holly on a quest
Holly is fascinated by her Den Cam. What she is trying to reach in it with her tongue and paw is her secret. A Lily Fan captured 5 minutes that includes about everything a person could imagine of a bear on a quest to the inner reaches of a Den Cam.

Juliet's cubs - March 8, 2014On this day in 2014 with temperatures between 9° and 28° degrees above zero F, the cubs vocalized very little. The highlights capture 7 ½ and 6 ½ minutes of activity with the cubs moving around as Juliet rearranges the bedding, but putting eye shine with individuals was tough. One has its eyes open fully, or nearly so. Another may show a hint of eye shine, but I’m not sure if I’m seeing any. And we spotted one with one eye partially open and the other closed yet.
Juliet ate snow twice and used the latrine immediately after her snow-eating session from 10:53:28 to 10:59:08 AM.

At 4:30 PM today, with temperatures above freezing, Honey ventured out of her snug den and dug around in the rock den she shared with yearling Lucky in 2008-9.
Thank you for all you do.
