Holly and Juliet - UPDATE February 23, 2015

Holly up closeHolly up closeHolly is doing what local wild bears do in winter—using her teeth to help get rid of her old foot pads. Out with the old and in with the new footpads that have formed under the old ones. We’re glad to see her starting this process today. Lucky does fine with that, too. Ted and Honey have trouble getting rid of their old foot pads, which is why they (especially Ted) walk uncomfortably at times.

Juliet's cub takes a tumble - 2014Juliet's cub takes a tumble - 2014In this 9-minute highlight video from February 23, 2014, there is a lot of action by a lot of cubs. It ends with a screaming male cub climbing up on Juliet, tumbling down, and getting nicely retrieved by Juliet and reunited with his littermates.
