Valentine's Day FundraiserLynn Rogers is taking a couple days off to spend some time with his lovely wife Donna, fitting since it is in fact Valentine's Day weekend. Who knew he was such a romantic?
Speaking of Valentine's Day, Lily's fundraiser team is hosting a Valentine's Day fundraiser tomorrow from 8 am - 6 pm CT on the NABC's Facebook page. They have a fun-filled day planned with an auction, trivia and more. All proceeds will go towards the purchase of flowering plants and bushes for the bear enclosure (which will produce natural foods for the bears), additional trees to further beautify their habitat, and the much needed cedar chips the bears love to roll around in. A year ago today, Juliet had a quiet cold day in the den. There wasn't much activity, but what there was is in this 7 minute highlight video. We see a nice example of grooming as well as tearing up a branch for bedding. The only sighting of a cub was in the last scene where you can see slight movement from one of the little cubbies as it nurses. Possibly just the back of the cub, not enough to really see much. They stayed warm under Juliet the entire day. It was a low of -11°F and a high of 11°F last year on this day.
