Ted and Honey Action - UPDATE December 21, 2014

Ted venturingTed venturing outWith the temperature at 31°F, both Ted and Honey became active at about 12:50 PM. Ted sauntered out of his den and did the characteristic backing up of a bear about to eliminate as shown in his 137-second video at http://viewpure.com/0zZMyfehIMA.

Honey came only partway out to eat snow as shown in her 10-minute video at http://wildearth.tv/videomark/honey-eating-snow-12-21-2014.

Holly and Lucky, both with northern genes, stayed put in their dens.

For the Northwoods Ecology Hall, Lily Fan volunteers continued to compile information for exhibits and the touch-screen kiosks as we sorted out recent changes in scientific names.

Thank you for all you do.
