Donna Rogers’ comments as she first opens her eyes are often memorable. Yesterday, she was one of the bears on the Bear Center nature trail for a scavenger hunt for little kids. The kids were excitedly picking up candy on the trail. A little boy near her said, “Licorice, my favorite!” as he spied a treasure. Then he tried to give away his treat to Donna. Donna was so touched by the generous act that it was the first thing she told me as we woke up. It made her day—and mine to hear it.
Winnie the Pooh and scavenger hunters!A secondary highlight was at the Bear Center sitting down with Kraus-Anderson Construction Company to go over detailed architectural drawings for the Hope Learning Center. Exciting!
