Now it’s dogwood berries

Red-osier_dogwood_berries_8-9-11Hope__R-O_Dogwood_8-9-11When we checked on Lily, Hope, and Faith today we suspected what we’d find.  Lily’s GPS locations indicated they were in red-osier dogwood habitat—damp soil with a mixture of alder, willow and red-osier.

As we homed in on her radio signal, we saw flattened vegetation where they had sat and pulled dogwood branches down.  Then they showed us how it’s done.

Juliet__sign_8-9-11aWhen some people put up No Trespassing signs, they mean it.  But not everyone has a bear for an enforcer.  At least that’s how it appeared when we homed in on Juliet.
